Show report: Nicole Farhi autumn/winter 2012
This is the 30th year for the Nicole Farhi label, which began as a small womenswear collection and now also includes menswear and diffusion lines as well as a popular restaurant. This season, Farhi focused on an earthy palette of charcoal, stone and sand, with touches of burnt umber and aubergine. Her simple, flattering silhouettes included slim trousers, tulip skirts, jersey dresses and outerwear with origami-like folding. Sequins and metallic detailing also featured heavily. Standout pieces included a burnt gold boiled-wool peplum jacket and a multi-tone paillette knee-length skirt.
