Aldo’s Rise scheme offers young designers a boost into the footwear industry and the work produced by the six designers it will be promoting this season has just been unveiled. JW Anderson, Preen and Faster by Mark Fast have all benefited from Aldo’s expertise; the scheme aims to help designers turn their visions into reality and gives access to other leading footwear designers, market mentors and Aldo customers worldwide. Each shoe perfectly reflects its designer’s trademark aesthetics, from Preen’s digital-print clogs to Mark Fast’s contemporary cut-out stilettos and JW Anderson’s more flamboyant feather and lace-up heels. Transatlantic design duo Cushnie et Ochs, Parisian rising talent Christian Cota and Los Angeles-based Libertine will also be part of the Rise experience.
