Where do you live?
In one of Milan’s most characteristic areas: Navigli.
Which is your favourite Milan neighbourhood?
The one where I live. It has retained all the elements of old-style Milan; little stores and typical trattorie haven’t changed much here. There are plenty of bars, which make the area look lively all year long, especially in the summer.
Which are your favourite Milan stores?
I love Frav and Maison Yamakabe on Via Vetere as well as Cavalli e Nastri on Via Giacomo Mora. This is where I do my shopping!
And your favourite restaurants?
There’s one all-time favourite: the very elegant Brisa.
Can you recommend any local dishes?
Fried potato skins: a classic from Lombardy.
Do you have a favourite local café?
Lacerba is where I usually take my aperitivos. They make the best cocktails in town and I love the futuristic décor.
Do you have a favourite walk in Milan?
Brera is one of the best areas for walking; it’s romantic and full of artists.
How do you like to travel around the city?
I use my bike by day and taxis in the evenings.
Which is Milan’s best attraction?
I would suggest the fashion weeks or the design week, when Milan becomes an international destination and there are plenty of events taking place all around the city.
How would you spend an ideal day in Milan?
I would visit a nice exhibition and then go for a late brunch with friends. On Sundays I love finishing the day at the cinema, watching a nice movie.
Can you recommend any good hotels?
The Nhow hotel on Via Tortona.
What can’t you live without?
Beauty.
