The key visual for the autumn/winter 2012 Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week was the hit of the season. Photographed by artist Alex Prager, the arresting image of supermodel Lara Stone in a wild, wintry field evokes Hitchcock’s sharp signature style. Stone is among the most sought-after contemporary models and her enigmatic role in Prager’s composition enhances her glamour. ‘I wanted it to be something that was beautiful and romantic, but also had a dark undertone to it,’ says Prager. ‘To do that I had to walk a fine line with Mercedes because they don’t want anything dark in their ads. But I think with projects like this you can get a little bit closer to that side of things because it is more like an art collaboration.’
