Where were you born?
Nice.
What’s best about your Paris neighbourhood?
I live in Bastille and love the mix of different cultures.
If money was no object, where would you live?
On an island with a surf board and my wife Marta.
Which are your favourite Paris stores?
MasterWave, a vintage music shop in Pigalle, French Trotters for men in Le Marais and Pierre Hermé for his crazy macaroons.
And restaurants?
Mama Shelter for pizza, Café des Anges, it’s a true Parisian brasserie, and L’As du Fallafel in Le Marais.
Do you have a favourite local café or pub?
Café des Anges or 25 Degrés Est in Stalingrad.
Where do you take out-of-town friends?
To the tiny streets and restaurants off the tourist track, like Butte aux Cailles in the 13th arrondissement, or small hidden streets in Montmartre. Our district Bastille is pretty cool to hang out in as well and it’s not very touristic.
Where do you like to celebrate?
Mama Shelter restaurant has the perfect mix of great food, a cool atmosphere and a party vibe; once a week they have a DJ.
Do you have a favourite Paris walk?
Maybe this sounds weird, but I really like to hang out in Père Lachaise cemetery, it’s so peaceful there.
Which is the best landmark in Paris?
Pont des Arts, near St Germain des Prés, where lovers come from all over the world to celebrate their romance!
And the city’s best museum?
Musée d’Orsay is the one I love the most, but there are so many museums here.
Any advice for visitors?
