Zac Posen is only 30 but his eye for cut and penchant for hourglass-hugging silhouettes shows a maturity beyond his years. Backstage at his show during Paris Fashion Week, Posen shared the inspiration behind the tailored collection of muted colours with accents of sharp, shocking leather. ‘I love the 1940s woman but it has a sci-fi element too,’ he says of his inspiration. With Crystal Renn modelling, he added: ‘Curvaceous girls actually look much better in my clothing than my models do!’ Judging by the cocktail frocks on display, this season’s silver screen siren will have much to choose from.
