Miun’s Finnish designer Ilona Hyötyläinen was inspired by her summer vacation close to Lake Saimaa to create her spring/summer 2012 collections in the green shades of the landscape and the hues of its colourful wild flowers and bright red forest strawberries, along with black and white. Miun’s spring and summer collections carry the essence of green birch woods and silver-blue water and sky. The collections are divided into spring and summer; the spring theme is black and white striped dresses in knits and silk. Miun’s products are minimalist, with a touch of nostalgia, and always practical and comfortable. The summer collection translates the brightness of the long Finnish summer days and holiday mood into strong, bright colours for silky dresses and softly textured garments. The spring collection’s debut is early February and the summer collection makes its entrance in March.
