Meyrowitz optician offers its exclusive eyewear collection in a wide range of materials such as acetate, buffalo horn, ebony and 18-carat gold. The company was founded in Albany, New York, in 1875 and the first Meyrowitz store in Paris was established on rue Scribe in 1902. The company relocated to rue de Castiglione, close to place Vendôme, in 1922, as customers at the time preferred to step from their chauffeur-driven limousines directly into the comfort of the street’s arcades. In 1927, Charles Lindbergh came in his Hispano-Suiza to visit the store, which had supplied the famous goggles he wore during the first solo non-stop flight across the Atlantic in May of that year. The store is the perfect location for customers to try out Meyrowitz binoculars by focusing on the Vendôme column.
